About Me
I am a multi media full time artist, jewelry designer and want-to-be comedian. My passion for Israel and continued pursuit of peace for the Jewish People. After Oct 7th, I began creating new designs with Israel as the focus, while donating 18% of profits to JNF-USA where My Husband Eric and I are Co presidents in Palm Beach County.
My obsession for Jewish art and Judaica began many years ago, while in my free time I drew Judaic wearable art and Paper-cut art with various blessings. I earned her BA in Architectural Design from the University of Florida and a Masters in architecture from MIT. The skills I learned in architecture has guided my designs in Judaica, enabling me the understanding in creating volume without weight in my pieces.
My Judaic training began in 1990 after traveling to Israel with Eric in search of the perfect talit clip. However, after much investigating I came to the conclusion that I had to make it myself. Upon returning to NYC, I went to the 92nd St Y and signed up for the beginning Jeweler’s class, because the Judaic metal class was full. Unbeknown to me, this was the only Judaic metal class in the country. After some finagling, I managed to get into the class. My career as a Judaic Metal Artist began.
From the first day I was hooked, “sitting at a jewelry bench felt so natural, and cutting silver felt like cutting butter!”. I began creating one-of-a-kind pieces, as well as limited edition works. I was very fortunate to continue to learn under the tutelage of renown Judaic Metalsmith Bernie Bernstein, z”l for the next 10 years. Bernie was trained under Ludwig Wolpert, a German born Israeli-American goldsmith celebrated as the first artist to design Judaica in modern styles. “ I could not have been anymore fortunate than to have learned under the auspices of these great artists,”.
After relocating to Boca Raton, Florida, I continued to grow my small business, all the while raising 4 children. Additionally, from 2006-2024 I began and ran the art program Katz Yeshiva High School. I also Taught at Rohr Bais Chaya and Camp Ramah Darom.
Teaching art inspired many of my designs that you see. Today. Throughout these years, I have enjoyed visiting communities all over the US, teaching workshops, doing a bit of comedy, and spreading the passion I have for Judaic Art. I have exhibited my Judaic art, which includes paper-cut Ketubot and dedication pieces, and metal works, at shows and exhibits throughout the country.”
